Clean Up Australia Day 2023

The Group participated in Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, the 5th of March. As usual, we worked on the plane spotting beach near the old control tower at Sydney Airport. Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, parents and Leaders picked up many bags of rubbish in the 2 hours we were there.

The main types of rubbish that we found were straws, plastic bottle tops, lollipop sticks and various food wrappers. It’s good to clean up the beach but it also makes you think about the amount of waste each person produces.
